This website preserves the genealogy (shajra-e-nasab) of the Janjua Rajput families of Village Jaswal, Dhak Janjua, and Katha Saghral in Khushab District, Punjab, Pakistan.
Our lineage begins with Hazrat Adam (A.S.), passing through the Pandava dynasty, King Porus, and culminating in the historic Janjua Rajput royal family under Raja Mal Khan (first Muslim Janjua king, early 13th century) and his son Raja Jodh Khan — whose descendants settled the Khushab Salt Range area.
The Janjua Rajputs are a prominent Punjabi clan found predominantly in the Pothohar Plateau and Salt Range of Pakistani Punjab. They are documented by British colonial historians including Sir Lepel H. Griffin (Punjab Chiefs, 1910) and the authoritative Tehreek-e-Janjua by Raja Muhammad Anwar Khan Janjua.
The Dhak Janjua fort and Kath Saghral fort — both in the immediate vicinity of Village Jaswal — are listed in Tehreek-e-Janjua as Janjua strongholds. The 1931 Census of India records a Janjua family of "good status" in Katha Saghral (Khushab).
